by Suzanne Collins
Releases August 24th
Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has survived the Hunger Games twice. But now that she’s made it out of the bloody arena alive, she’s still not safe. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge. Who do they think should pay for the unrest? Katniss. And what’s worse, President Snow has made it clear that no one else is safe either. Not Katniss’s family, not her friends, not the people of District 12. Powerful and haunting, this thrilling final installment of Suzanne Collins’s groundbreaking The Hunger Games trilogy promises to be one of the most talked about books of the year.
This is a popular YA book that I'm sure anyone who has read The Hunger Games and Catching Fire is also dying to get their hands on, but there are plenty of people who aren't big YA or sci-fi readers who have yet to discover these fantastic books. To them I would say: run, do not walk, to your local book store or library and read these books ASAP. You don't have to be a fan of either genre to enjoy Collins's trilogy. Not only are the Hunger Games books thrilling, emotional, and thought-provoking, but Katniss might be one of my favorite female protagonists ever. I'll definitely be in stores on August 24th to pick up my copy of the exciting conclusion to this brilliant trilogy.
